Old photo or did you actually see this in time for a camera?
I would love to get an inside look at that rig. I'm guessing the bedroom is in the station wagon (needs curtains ).

That is I believe a 64 Ford, might be a 63. Interesting set up to say the least, it must have coil overs or air bags in the rear.

There must to be some kind of overloads under that thing. I looked forever before I found airshocks for my (then) 65 Chev, and they were pretty pathetic. Those old wagons "waged" around quite a bit, so I can imagine this topper is about all it can handle. Can you imagine a hard, high speed curve in a cross wind?
In those days wagons and half ton pickups shared the same rear ends, but spring rates differed considerably. Could be it has the truck springs under it. Fun to guess, but don't have a clue how it's set up so level.
Not to mention the tires (that would be another story).

Yep, mid-60s Ford "Ranch Wagon".
Those campers were made to fit many different station wagons of the era.
As I recall, they worked well. Not perfect, but not bad, either.
Some were so big they had their own wheels under the back of the camper!

Definitely not a 1964. I would say it is between a 1961 - 1963. Body changed in 1964. I had a 1963 way back, leaf spring rear suspension.

I vote for '63 when I first looked and still think so. There were some in that era built on old Cadillac chassis also. They like the early FWD El Dorados.
