The one I looked at over the weekend was just fine for take down. I've only ever owned one PUP, standard wall heighth, so my perspective is completely comparing it to that take down. All was good. If I can swing the sale of my current one to pay for the HW at the dealer, I am all over it. SO MUCH MORE ROOM, for persons, stuff and upgrading to a hardwall bathroom. Major pluses, in my book.

But, also, consider the increase in weight. I would be going from a 1800 lb. pup to 3050 lb. pup. Quite a jump. And no more hand-manuevering in the garage.

This space left intentionally.

Thanks a bunch for the replies folks! Sounds like we can handle the extra height no problem. We are looking at an '07 Starcraft Centennial. But I just found out I need a new septic bed so we have to delay the up-grade and stick with the sante fe for another year.

hey Mike

Just wanted to update you on our second outing in our HW...

I did notice some issues for me being only 5'7 while doing things inside the pup off which i didnt do the first time out..
the first thing was the ceiling lights.. if i want to switch them on by hand instead of using the switch being if i want to turn certain ones off cause of the brightness at night.. I find myself on my tippy toes to reach them.. And the second thing was trying to pull open or close the curtains on the front wall over the sink and stove area. (the long countertop with the big window). I can not reach them at all or fold down the vinyl tinting window shades.. so just one more thing that my dear husband as to do.. Im going to have to get a step stool to do these things cause he has enough to do on the outside setting up...
Just wanted to pass that to your wife.. just invest in a sturdy good step stool and all should be fine... Sorry to hear about your delay in purchase of HW ---but house repairs come first.... esp septic stuff...... good luck.. let us know what you decide.
