Well we have been trying to trade our DutchStar for what we believe is a pretty good upgrade in coach. 2011 American Coach Revolution 42T. Finally found the one we liked but are having the dinette changed out to the table and chairs. Still staying with the spartan chassis which I like but solid front axle not independent suspension like the dutch star. This coach really is nice and drives like nothing I have driven before. It is a new coach but has been out on a lot for a while and some items show but are taking it to factory to correct. I really enjoyed the dutch star and newmar but this American Coach just took my attention. All electric, plenty of motor, aqua hot, you name it, it has it. I just hope it is as tough as our dutchstar. Hoping this is our last coach. Will post picture if I can figure out how. I really hope we have as good service as the dutch star provided. I believe we will. Any way we are excited about it and thought I would let you all know. Travel safe Larry & Brenda

Congrat's on the trade, the Rev's are a really nice coach, they we're on our short list for a bit, but there floorplans did really meat our needs, but they are one of the nicer ones.

Congratulations on the new Revolution. We took delivery of our 2012 American Revolution 42W about 60 days ago. Like you, our previous coach had IFS and originally thought that we just had to have IFS. Then we drove the Revolution. Enough said!

I really like those, especially the rear bath and a half 40ft unit. Fleetwood has been building them on the American line for some time now, but did they really start calling them an American before 2012?

Thanks guys gals, Yes it is an american coach. We are happy with it so far. Spending the weekend making it ours. You really do not know what you dont need until you clean one out and reload and wonder why you had so much stuff. I have several pictures but dont know how to upload to site. We have been looking at this floorplan since it was the allegence but now the revolution. I am a newmar type of guy and this coach exceeds them in my opinion. Hope my opinion is right. We really are happy with this coach. Taking it to the factory soon for some changes and fixes. We took the dutch star to the factory after we bought it and that was the only time we had chassis problems adjust side add refer in basement. only other was the NO Cold recall
and replacing the air conds. I hope this coach does the job as the dutch star did I believe it will. See you on the road. Larry & Brenda

Hello. I have a 2010 Newmar Canyon Star 3510 (gas). I am considering upgrading to either a 2012 Newmar Ventana LE 3843 (Diesel) or a 2011 American Revolution 42Q. I am a little concerned with the left over American Revolution. Have any of you American Revolution owners had any significant problems? The Canyon Star was a left over and we had some very sinificant electricl issues (trnasfer switch, chassis battery and holding tank indicating system problems just to name a few) Also, I have 4 children ranging in ages from 3-12. Is the American Recolution "Child Friendly" or is this RV to advanced for smaller children? The Newmar Ventana 3843 has bunk beds equipped with individual DVD players similar to the Canyon Star. Thi is handy in resolving the "But I dont want to watch what he is watching" paradigm. The towing capacity of the Ventana is 5,000 lbs same as the Canyon Star so the 15,000 lb capacity of the American Revolution will definiately afford me some growth as the kids get older and I will need a bigger toad. Currently I towing a 2010 Honda Odyessy but may need a Tahoe in a few years thus exceeding the capacity of the Ventana. Lastly, any tips for driving a Tag axel and adjusting the air suspension. Are the operating and maintenance costs for a diesel coach significant (aside from the current price of gas)? I am just a bit concerned I am biting off more than I can chew. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris

We love our 2011 Revolution 42t. We upgraded from an 08 Discovery last November. No major problems but then again didn't really get to use it during the winter months. It drives great, mostly due to the tag axle and air suspension As far as expenses, I know that with the discovery ( had lots of issues) there was no such thing as a cheap repair, and I would imagine the same for this coach, difference is the American Coach line seems to be better quality so hopefully less trips to the shop. You have a small expense in DEF, but I use about 6 gallons for about 4 diesel fill ups so not terrible. I think somewhere on this forum a member did a per mile cost for a DP , you may want to search for that. If I think of anything else I will post later. Good luck!
