My TT has bunks in the back next to the bathroom with no type of curtain or anything. I saw a thread on another forum where an owner of the same TT added curtains! Would it be possible to buy a curtain rod (not really a "rod", per se) that screws into the ceiling, fairly flat, so I could have a regular curtain that covers the bunks? It would be great if it could also be cut to size so it fits perfectly in the opening.

Has anyone done this? I did an initial search for RV curtain rods, etc, but didn't find anything that looked like what I was looking for.

IMO I wouldn't screw anything into the ceiling, but I would look at a shower curtain tension rod for the top bunk anyway. For the bottom bunk, maybe a curtain rod and attach it to the bottom of the top bunk (if not another shower tension rod.) Each bunk would also have its own privacy curtain that way, also.
If handy with a sewing machine, material would be economical and measure, cut & sew to needed width and length.

I had to put a shade over the entrance door due to light coming through the frosted glass at night and covered it using a cafe tension rod and shortened a valance. I also use a shower extension rod for a shower curtain inside the plexiglass shower door for more privacy.

We use a spring-loaded shower curtain rod in our TT to divide the trailer into 2 room. Just hang a sheet over it and it's instantly 2 rooms. Or, use the same rod for hanging towels to dry.

We use the spring loaded shower curtain rods around the house too. Since we live alone and have a very large house, we hang heavy curtains off the rods to close off sections of the house so we don't have to heat in the winter. Nice thing about the spring loaded rods, no screws, and they can be removed, and you can change locations, and they are great for grabbing and chasing racoons away from your cooler too!

I did something similar in my old Jayco. Was able to use a compression type rod to support the curtain across the bunks. You should also contact your dealer's parts dept, they can order you the necessary track and you could install it yourself.

You can buy curtain track and snap tape material, to make your own curtain. A cloth shower curtain works well. Check the pictures in my mods (link below). There are a few pictures of a curtain I added.

You need to be very carefull when driving screws into the ceiling, but, it can be done.

Yeah I wondered about issues with screwing something into the ceiling. Maybe a strong adhesive? I'm not sure a spring loaded shower curtain would work. Here's a picture I snagged from an RV website that shows the rear of the TT. I added the blue line to show where I'd prefer having a hanging curtain.

Wow - awesome mods with great pics! Would be nice to maybe see some info on where you purchased the parts for the mods. Great stuff! Now I have even more ideas for modifications and additions. I should just have my wife hide my wallet now.

My wife installed custom made drapery on all of our windows and they're mounted on travis rods. No reason that TYPE of thing could not be used in a different position to cover the bunks. The travis rod feature would make it MUCH handier to open and close than most other curtain rod types.
