Hey everyone...

I am considering eternabonding the vents, seams, skylights, ect on my RV trailer.
How easy is it to remove in the event you need to replace something?

Thanks for the input!

Wow, I can't believe they actually suggest gasoline as a solvent (after other products) to cut the adhesive. I remember using gas for all sorts of stuff way back when I was younger and dumber(er).

I used the first method in Larry's link when I replaced my vents. Worked fine and looks good.

On my new to me used 03 I went and redid everything on the roof. The PO had prev used Ebond, but failed to do it properly and had dirt and junk under it. I removed everything, washed it all, acetoned it and re applied new tape. Nothing is getting in now!!

I covered the entire roof of my TT. Vents, seams, everything. Took me an entire weekend.

BUT

I had one of the few bad batches of EB that warped up after just a few weeks.

EB was great - sent me all new tape and tools to repair everything.

Only took me like 90 minutes with a hair dryer to get up all the original tape.

Took me another full weekend to lay it down...again....however

While we're on the EB subject.......

Our camper is 2 years old, and whatever calking they used on the roof vents/AC/etc. is beginning to crack; I patched the cracks with Dicor Lap Sealant before the winter.

Now I'm thinking that I should remove the old calking and replace with EB. What size EB is the best?

So, have any of you guys done that, and how major a job is it? Any trade secrets to make the job easier?

Thank you

Lots of us here have done that. See this site by member LarryJM for pictures and details of what he did. I used the 4" wide tape on my rig.
