Is there not someone sitting in the chair with a blue hat on backwards,looks like and arm out the side of the chair.

Very Cool Picture, maybe Zak from Ghost Adventures could do a camping trip there.

There is more just above the roof of the pop-up and in the trees on the left side of the picture. Either something on the lens or a reflection from a mirror or sun.
I do like the ghost story.

Yes it is above the pup and up in the trees on the left as well. I wouldn't say it was something on the lens since the OP said no other pictures had it.
I notice there is a reflection on the PUPs parking lights, where they on or was the flash on the camara on and it's a refelction, hence the possibility it is some type of reflection.
Still pretty cool looking, the way it's shaped and above the fire pit like that...you never know...

Looks to me like you nailed it! And that person was smoking. I enlarged the picture to 3799X2846 pixels and what you stated looks like what it is. The arm out the side of the chair is especially noticeable. The person sitting in the chair evidently had their feet up off the ground.

No i'm not. But later in the week we tried recreating the shot with cig smoke and the pattern just isn't there. Plus you can tell the "image is to far in the background to be that close to the camera.
Guess it will just have to be chalked up to one of those things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm

Ok, how bout a swarm of "no see ums"! Gnat's or other near microscopic insects? Or a big bug with an outstretched arm sitting in the chair?

No one is sitting in the chair. I was there by myself. I see the chair your talking about and its not even folded out all the way. The "blue hat" is my water jug that sits on top of a milk crate. And the "arm" is a left over peice of fire wood in the ring.
