How many batteries do they take? I was looking for one that takes 4 AA's so that I could remove the pole and use the flat round disk to recharge my batteries on the dash board of the RV.

I think they each have arechargeable AA batt in them. The batts sell for something like 4/$10 if you need to replace em. P{erhaps these are different.
