cut my standard 30 amp plug off my camper tonight. then went and opened my new camco plug but the three screws face inward to the center plastic pin that holds both halfs together. either someone has a sense of humor but there is no way to tighen the screws down. you cant unscrew them and change the side???????? i can try to bend the tabs but afraid to break them loose.

I bought the Camco replacement plug, and the screws had been put in backwards in all the tangs before shipping. When the screw is installed correctly the tang becomes like a cup to hold the wire strands close around and under the screw head, as shipped there was no good way to keep the strands under the screw head. Once I reinstalled the screws it all made sense and went together nicely, I have been happy with the plug, it stays cool, my factory rubber plug melted.
This was the problem with mine, it sounds like you have the same thing.

Thanks folks, pushed down on the three prongs and they pushed out of the plug. Inserted the wires, tightened the screws and inserted the prongs. They are just snug so you think they are molded along with the plug but they arnt.
