Had a visit from the Texas Comptroller's office in Victoria. He wanted to know if we were sub-contractors or employees of Gate Guard.
My wife told him she thought we were sub contractors so he said we would have to file for a tax permit and pay a fine for working last year without a permit. He called the Corpus Christ office (Gate Guard) and they told him we were employees for them. He called me and said if I was an employee of Gate Guards I would not have to pay the fine or get a permit. He went in and talked to the company man. I turned it all over to Melissa. She said not to give him any information about Gate Guards. So far, I find I am the only one he has visited.
