Found out it's a awning/tent by a outfit called carefree of colorado. They call it the outback. Right now I'm chasing a few leaks and trying to decide which roof sealing system to use.

Thanks for the info! Mine had a wide non-harneding tape applied on the roof seam all the way around... I believe it is Eternabond brand if that helps... Good luck!

I just found out that carefree stopped making the outback awning a few months ago unfortunately.

Question. Do you know what type, or where to buy replacement brake/turn lights? I found the clearance lights pretty easily..
But the brake/turn lights aren't a perfect fit. Mine are 15 1/4 long and the mounting holes are 14" apart. Granted.. they are close but not a exact fit.

BTW I decided to use proflex RV calk since I need to reseal a few windows also.

Thanks

I have the gooseneck version of the SURV.
If you ever have questions about parts or construction you can't find the answer to on your trailer call Featherlite. They have been great every time I have called them about something I had a question about. The parts I can't find from the usual sources they have in stock when I call their parts department.

Well, the surv survived the winter and I just bought a E350 with a cummins manual to replace the gmc 6.2
The main thing that bothers me about this SURV is the heavy tongue weight. Camperking's numbers confirm why featherlite added the third axle. They also moved the axles forward because I found a picture of a 07 24' and the dual axles were clearly further forward.

My 05 doesn't have a generator up front, but there's not much room behind the axles to secure one, so Im guessing my tongue weight must be around the 1250 lbs Camperking said.

1250 lbs way to heavy.. isn't it? This new to me 95 E350 will squat bad with that I fear..

Hi Rerod, I'm dragging our 28 footer (35-36' overall) behind a 3/4 Dodge but am utilizing a 1,400 tongue weight / 14,000 lb Equalizer hitch and have been able to keep her good and level by putting some weight on the Dodge's front suspension.
I minimize fresh water - just enough for a few flushes and hand washes in order to help tongue weight and don't put heavy stuff in the V-nose cargo also..... It's been a good combo...... I'd rather a 3500 but.........

Iv read a bit, or I should say, have looked at the prices for equalizer hitch's.

Are they really all they say they are? worth the money?
I was going to invest in another leaf or airbags instead.
