40 year old here, with 3 kids. I've also noticed the apparently large percentage of older folk here.

I'm 52 & DW is 46. We don't have kids, just dogs. We've tent camped for years. Thanks to an inheritance we can now afford a trailer (we picked it up today). I really wish we could have been RVing at your age. Enjoy your RV!

I'm your age, but haven't considered myself young since I recently left my 20's. I thought as soon as you hit 30 you were old. I just assummed everyone else at the campgrounds was a little better at being old than me. Most of them have more experience at it.

Please don't get me wrong! It's not that we "don't like older people"! I just wish we had a good group of camping friends that liked this lifestyle and had like interests.

We are VERY fortunate that my husband makes a great living so we can afford the RV, and I'm sure the no-kids thing helps get us on the road more. Never thought about the "where" we camp might affect the age but I can see the younger kids leaning towards dry-camping, like at Burning Man. Guess we're citified- we like water! Lol

I don't know what CGs you go to, but we must not go to the same ones. We are always surrounded by young folks - mostly with kids.

We camped before kids, with kids, and after kids.

We are 40-41 and are usually the youngest at most cg's. we have several friends that camp with us and they are all older than us. I have camped all my life, the DW had only tent camped until about 10 years ago and now she loves it. I also get along with and most of my friends are older. some are in there 80's. Nothing wrong with being the youngest at the CG most people are just older when they find out how much fun RVing is LOL

We're both 31 with two boys 3 and 5. We both work full time and my wife teaches Zumba 4 days a week. Been camping since I was born. Tented while dating and through college into married life. Last trip in the tent my wife was 9 months pregnant and said she wouldn't do it with a baby so we went to a TT. Now we have a 44' Toy Hauler and normally get out about 8-11 4 day weekends a year. Don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I have to admit that we're normally one of the younger couples but we also had kids much earlier than most. Most of the couples have kids our age but are about 10 years older. This was by design as my plan has been kids out of college by the time I'm 50. So far we're on track!

I also know a lot of younger people do not want to leave all their technology and go out in the world. I was a long time Scout Master until the boys got to wraped up in doing indoor things. It got to the point I had more adults than boys on campouts and I stepped down in about 2000 so that makes them about your age and I expect that it just continued.

We are both 39, but bought our first Pop up when we were 21. Allmost 20 years camping in some form of trailer. We are by far not the youngest anymore as we meet people in theirnlate 20's all the time now.
