So, I take it that yours is "toast". If I needed a new rear bumper, I would go to a place that sells steel and pick out some square tubing and have a welding shop weld it the right way. Most of the rear bumpers are so flimsy that they aren't much worth it.

I bet you could have a bumper fabbed by a welding shop then powdercoated for the same cost as a pre-fabbed unit and made MUCH stronger. It's only 4" tube stock.

And if you go that route, make sure they use either polyester or urethane. The epoxy is tough, but it will chalk in the sunlight and you will always be cleaning it.

I bent my 5er bumper by backing into a small tree.Got some 4x4 steel tubing and made my own replacement.Painted it black with a couple cans of spray paint from lowes. No rust yet, been two years. You can't put the sewer hose in the replacement bumper, because the wall thickness is greater.(1/8 inch).

Or just look along the shoulder on any interstate. They are occasionally laying there, usually with a spare tire or bicycles and rack still attached.

I did just like Sloopdog but went overboard with 3/8" thick. I meant to tell them 3/16 and didn't realize my mistake unitl after I got home with it and wondered why it was so danged heavy.
Had a friend weld it on and I suspect I could dangle the entire TT form it. Painted it with good quality spray paint and after 3 years it still looks great.

Had my welded up by a local fab shop. 400 bucks + the cost of a spray bomb once a year. Way better than factory.
