I had a friend stay in my RV for a week and now the toilet room smells like urine. The rug was wet on the bottom side. I removed the lower cover and it was stained on the inside. I replaced the toilet seal a month ago and eveything was clean.

The floor is lino tile. I sprayed everything with a bleach solution--toilet bowl, base, floor, cover.

I don't know if it got under the base--where it bolts to the floor. Don't know if it has a regular wax seal?

Anyway--it still smells in there.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the smell?

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Use Odoban spray it works great on smells. I believe I got it at Sams club. But any good household store should have it. We have used it on animal smells.

If you ever let him stay again, do what we do, tell him to sit down or go find a tree.

Hi Luke,

Make a watery paste from baking soda. Apply liberally and leave in place for an hour. Then wash up with some pine sol.

I'm confused. You said you replaced the toilet seal then ask if it has a wax ring under it. No they don't have wax and if they HAD you would have seen it when you put in a new seal. My guess is that the new seal is either collapsed or damaged so it's leaking. Probably nothing to do but remove the bowl again and do the job over again after cleaning everything completely.
Good luck / Skip
