What tires do you have under the truck to have a 3195 load carrying capacity. The stock tire and wheels had 3042 load capacity?

Tires are not stock @ that weight rating. Stock size was LT245/75R16 LRE good for 3042.

Why do people have to assume that they know what tires the guy has on HIS truck? Stop quoting tire ratings like Rainman and actually ask a question about his setup rather than throwing your judgement around like some sort of deity.

I guess if I tell you I have a 2011 F350 SRW that you will tell me that my tires aren't rated for that load either. Take a swing, you would be wrong! To the OP, nice rig! Keep your rig well maintained, drive safely and you will be safer than most KIAs running around on under-inflated tires. There is far more to safety that simple ratings.

Looks like I called it, bedroom slide. That equals heavy pin weight.
What is the load rating on your tires?
I am guessing they are LT?

Sizable weight police population on RV.net. OP's combination does look good. I would need lower gears in my 06 2500HD LBZ for that size tire. I was actually surprised in the change of towing performance -acceleration and hill climbing ability for the 3% change from stock to LT265/75R16 LRE.....

Most of the time the increased weight of a larger tire has as much or more of a power robbing effect than the larger diameter does. I am kind of surprised that you noticed that much difference just going to a 265. That is still not a very large tire. Most people don't notice much difference when jumping up to a 285.
