Marcus..I just wanted to comment that I got my first Good Sam's Highways Magazine today in years that I didn't immediately throw in the trash un-opened

That's just how we got feeling about it after years as a member and getting that "waste of paper and ink" in the mail. Forum members used to say "is there any way to get these things to stop coming?"

This newest edition is...remakably..quite good! Informative, well written, lots of good info. Some real effort went into it and a lot of that effort I'm sure is yours...or at least from staff motivated by you.

We also are begining to make the journey to our local Camping World more often...almost as much as our usual monthly "look-see" shopping sprees!

I am sure you don't get this very often...but thank's for making an effort that is quite noticable and greatly appreciated. Keep it up.

My posts shouldn't be taken for factual data. They are purely fictional, for entertainment purposes and should not be constituted as actually related to scientific, technical, engineering, legal, spiritual or practical advice. Amen.

Thanks so much

Please keep all the feedback coming

It's members that actually gave me the feedback and roadmap

I need much more to get this closer to where we need to be

I just skimmed through it (and of course ejected the hard leaf ads) and it seemed much thicker. There's an awful lot of advertising in it but I'm hoping there's more substance too.

All the pages of RV's for sale and the tons of ads make it a thick magazine. You can read all that is worth to read in 15 minutes.

IMHO it's just a catalog for Camping World, with a few pages of readable stuff.

Why not go electronic and email or post highways on line in the GS members section. I'm not sure how that would effect income from advertising or publication cost but a lot of organizations are going that way.

They do have a digital edition available to GS members. I just got an email from them with it in the last couple of days. It can be accessed when signed on to the GS website.

I was not going to read the new Highways magazine until oln our trip this coming friday, but I couldn't resist. I really liked your comments Marcus at the beginning. From things said on here, and what you said in it, it truly shows you are listening 100%. Thanks!

I do not receive the magazine because I am not a member but I appreciate FSD's comments and observations as it points to a real effort by Affinity to improve their operations and products. I applaud Marcus' efforts to be visible here and to accept feedback both good and bad in an attempt to make his operations better meet the needs of it's customers. Kudos to Marcus Lemonis for stepping outside the mold and trying to make something better. I think I will go to Camping World this weekend in Jacksonville and look around.

I liked this issue, and don't mind the adds. It let's me know what is out there. I don't look at all of them, but once in awhile something will catch my eye and I will check it out. I also like the camping world adds, but I like to shop so maybe that is why I like them....

I too, like the ads. Never know when we can find something as a new addon to the 5er to make it more comfortable for fulltiming.
