Experience Colorado’s beauty while camping and helping out on our small 18-acre family-owned alpaca and sheep ranch, complete with dairy goats and chickens!
We are located about 2 hours from Rocky Mountain National Park, 3 hours from Steamboat Hot Springs, and a day’s drive from Yellowstone. We are looking for a mature, common sense couple who would like to be caretakers to help with lawn care and sprinkler system maintenance/rehab, etc. Plumbing, carpentry, and electrical know-how would also by useful. Some animal care may be needed. If you would like to plant/tend a garden, there is a good plot, seeds and water provided, labor needed. Harvest sharing appreciated. Alpaca shearing is scheduled for June 9th! It’s a fun, barn-raising kind of day!
We can offer FHU (50 amp capability) and all the eggs you can eat in exchange for part-time care-taking/maintenance help. We live in a very beautiful, peaceful part of northern Colorado with light shopping 12 miles away, and extended shopping 18 miles away in one of the top retirement communities in the country. Position can be 3 to 5 months over the spring-summer-fall, negotiable.
