I likewise have a migraine reading that someone would be offended if the smoke from my fire blows into their campsite.
We had a couple pull in next to us last Friday in a Prius and they proceeded to pitch a tent and plug their tea pot into the electrical panel. I warned the group I was with, "Oh, these guys are going to hate us!" ...with our 8 mpg V10, radio, bonfires, beer drinking til 11, etc.
Oddly, they were as nice as could be and talked to us throughout the night. They left me with a very positive impression of Prius driving, tent pitchers.
I assume we did the same.

Too bad CGs aren't separated into types so everyone could enjoy camping in their own way without infringing upon others.
Good observation, though I'm compelled to point out that the "close to nature people," looking for peace and quiet, do not infringe on the the experience of the partiers. In fact they probably go unnoticed by them. It is the partiers that are infringing on others. This is a one-way-street not a two-way.
Someone who is close to nature, actually cares about nature. If that was the case you wouldn't be driving a gas guzzling TV towing a trailer, and "backcountry" camping where you are disturbing nature. YES no matter how you look at it, you are disrupting nature with your footprint.
Enjoying peace and quiet is a different story. Everyone is entitled to RV however they want, but if you go camping at a CG, understand that YES, there is going to be some noise. Yes, there might be kids playing (and god forbid) making noise And YES, there's a chance there might be partiers.
Everyone really needs to get off their "holier than now" seat and learn to deal with the situation.
If music's too loud, (once again) TALK to the "suspect" and ask them politely to turn down the music. If they're being confrontational about it, go higher or ask to move.
Why is this such a big deal. Does no one talk to their CG neighbors?

Above is the answer to this campground dilemma in a short complete statement--given the access to devices that are both more than adequate and inexpensive, why does anyone have to abuse their neighbors with loud music? Unless you are one of those "LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!" types that demand in such a pitiful way that you must be the center of attention all the time, why abuse those around you with your musical choices? Want to rock out? Fine, do it with earphones and don't try to sing along.

Yes but only on the camp site they paid for. Not the whole campground or the site I paid for

x2! i love to listen to music all the time. but i do hate outside speakers because it's not necessary.
with all the newer technology, especially Bluetooth stereo headsets, you can listen to music as loud as you want, with no wires, and not force others to have to hear it.
if i choose to listen to music outside of my trailer, my headset allows me to hear high quality music that's better than outside speakers and not disturb others.
one problem with outside speakers is that the people using them, have to talk louder over the music, to be heard.

I think you've answered your own question.
Way to reword and take it out of context... Sigh..
Everyone Rving however they want, HAS absolutely NOTHING to do with how you resolve an "issue".
If you ACTUALLY READ what I said, you'd understand. But I digress, you've proven that reading is not your strong point.

I agree 100%. But if there is no rules indicating "no music allowed" then how is anyone supposed to know what everybody wants (if that is indeed what everyone wants).
As mentioned before.. One man's attempt at playing guitar around the fire is another's issue. Yet most here would be ok with the guitar. Even though you cannot control volume of the guitar at all compared to music.
Best bet, grow some and politely ask them to turn it down.99.99999% will listen to you/respect your requests as long as they are reasonable requests.

Sigh ... so you really think no one here has ever tried talking to a "suspect" and asked them to turn down their music? LOL
The problem with that is that too many people, like yourself apparently, think that they are entitled to RV however they want, regardless of who it infringes upon.
