Yeesh

We boondock alone so no one hears the dogs bark. (maim reason we boondock)

We are installing solar so no one has to listen to our generator run.

Now your telling me my panels will make too much noise? OMG I can't win this one. LOL

Come to think of it, the bathroom exhaust fan is pretty loud as is the AC.

Oh wait, it doesn't matter since we are alone. Crash our clearing though and I'll have to put the puppies in their tent to bark while I fire up the open frame to charge up meaning I'll have to really turn up the music to hear it over the genny running.

Honestly though, the most irritating noise is listening to the grump in the next site gnashing his teeth, pacing around and muttering that he is worried that the dogs will bark, the genny will run, he will hear our music or god forbid the panels will vibrate in the wind. (that last one is too funny)

I agree...solar panels vibrating in the wind? I hope he meant that as a joke! lol

When you camp you are always going to get some unexpected surprises...good and bad. I like to focus on the good ones vs the bad ones. We all choose what we concentrate our energy on.

Well I assumed it was a joke but then again I had some one tell me I should not run my Champion while boondocking alone because some might hear it over the hill, around the bend or a mile away so who knows.

Are we still talking about the OP's comment?

He's bugged about someone playing music too loud and/or too often outside. I didn't see anything about his kids running through another person's site or his loud generator.

Too many people here twisting things around to justify their other side of the argument. Sounds like an admission of guilt to me.

I play CDs and my Ipod whenever I like as long as it isn't quiet hours. I play them loud enough to be enjoyable to me. I've never had anyone come by and tell me it's too loud and if they did I give them some cotton balls to plug their ears. It's about time the whiners sat back and listened to the music all around them.

And your post sounds like a nerve was hit. Loud generator? Or loud kids?

That's the reason I object to outside speakers. Even though they may seem to be turned low, they can be heard for quite a distance in an otherwise quiet campground. Want music? use your Walkman! Respect your neighbors.

Neither. Jerks who twist the opening post to justify themselves for being jerks.

Jerks? You gathered this from posts saying they don't mind music, but they might mind a loud genny or unruly kids? Assume much? Nowhere did I read those people who wrote those posts say they blast their music.

Sounds like you need to take a camping trip and lighten up.
