My car port is about 8'2" tall & so I'd like to drop it down to about 8 at its highest point from the ground. ( as I type this I wonder is that possible? )
I may have to spend more money down the line to cement next to the car port & use a dolly there, where I don't have an 8 foot limit.
While doing a search I found some old threads with wood ones & some metal ones & some other strange things....
What have you found works best.
I've never even taken the rig camping yet & already find myself missing having the truck available to me.
Being under the camper & having to move it around on the street probably bugging neighbors with it in front of my house.
So in a perfect world I'll figure out a way to store it & plan our trips out & simply mount it when the time comes..

Not sure why you would need truck info to help me with camper dolly info though?

What is your campers dry weight rating?
I think mines at about 2,500 lbs & I'd want to be sure what ever I built will be strong enough, Last thing I want to be struggling to get the camper off a busted dolly?

So being I just double checked my space in the carport a dolly is not an option unless I raise the roof, so it either that or some other things that must change around here.
So I guess the camper is not coming off for a while.

Go to TCU and research dollies. Fishinmagician has a really good one. I think I have a PM regarding the materials. I'll PM you. He didn't have the plans, but you'll have to figure that according to your TC anyway.

Check out the Truck Camper University Sticky. There's a few in there, including a nice wood one. If you go to Reicotitan.com, they make one too. $600, I think.
