I have really never experienced porpoising in our coach. One thing that I have noticed about having a tag vs. a rental w/non-tag that we had is that going over speed bumps is a total non-issue when the rear wheels hit it. In the front, you will pop up but when the rear axles go over it, it's very smooth as the tag takes the downward motion as the drive-axle goes over.

So, in theory, I think the pressure of the tag pressing down on the pavement would eliminate forward bounce.

Trap, I understand and agree. But I was trying to point out that CCC numbers don't necesarily mean there is usable space for the CCC.

For example most of the additional CCC in the current rig would have to be added to the tag. Short of using sand bags the cabinet and storage space aren't available for more books, clothes, etc. Monacos CCC are just a numbers game. You should look at storage space and weight distribution, front to back and side to side.

Having said that last summer we had a lot of extra heavy "stuff" and weighed 42K with a max of 44.4K. With 2 5' wide pass through outside storage areas we're good to go and having that extra CCC helps make it all possible.

Ok I get it now, and your right some would be almost impossible to overload.

At 41' our current coach both rides great and, can carry and tow everything we need. IF we ever get a larger coach, I would go to a 45' with a tag, without hesitation. I think that would give us the same amount of basement storage we have now. YMMV

I never had any porpoising on my 36' non tag. Some buffing did occur when being passed by a big rig and a 40' would be no different.
