I have a quickee Step, and the light only works when the steps go out the first time. I recall on my Coachmmen there was a sequence you could do IE.. Turn on ignition then open door.. or something that would allow it to work @ anytime the door was opened at that contact. There is no reference in my owners manual in the Forest River.. does this sound familiar to anyone.?

"2012 Forest River 360 DS"
"Ford V-10"
"2013 Toyota Corolla on Tow Dolly"

There is no such sequence or feature on Kwikkee or LCI steps. Now, on Kwikkee, there is an option wire that very few OEMs connect for turning that light OFF and ON when camped and the step is turned off to keep extended, but that wire would be connected to an inside by the entry door wall switch. Doug

Thank you for the response, I think you are on the right track, before I could leave the step out.. and then when the door was opened the light would come on for about 10 minutes, then cycle off. Now with this RV I can hit the switch light does come on, but then the step retracts.. and forgetting the steps are retracted might make a quick fall..

Thanks again

Kwikkee sreps have a "last out" feature to prevent your fall down scenario. IF wired correctly. Doug
