We just have a mirror in the bathroom and want to replace it with a medicine cabinet. Has anyone done this? How do we secure it to the wall?

use a studfinder and wood screws, or you can also get some good drywall anchors and drill holes to mount it

Before you get started - just a thought.....how is the mirror put up?? Sometimes just some small mirror clips on the edges, but other times mirrors are mounted with adhesive. If that's the case, you likely would have damage to the wallcovering if you try to remove it. Hope you're is an easy mod - we love having that storage.

It was up with 2-way tape. Most of it just popped off. The rest we took a cutting wire across the back to cut though the tape. next step when we get some time is to fasten the new one on.

Essentially the cabinet is screwed to the wall studs with long screws, I believe.

We have the same RV (except for the year) and having drilled many a hole in mine I can tell you one thing - these RVs have steel studs so it is not like simply finding wood studs and screwing the cabinet on to the wall. In my experience finding steel studs is more"challenging".

Mine came with the medicine cabinet so I did not have to do this mod. You will need a good stud finder, and hopefully the stud centres suit the cabinet you are installing. You might want to call Jayco to a if you can get the proper location of the studs and information on mounting the cabinet.

Good luck.

Looking for "wall studs" may prove fruitlss.

Most hybrids I've seen are not stick construction. The exterior walls are one piece laminates. Internal walls are really just dividers with no studs either.
