Rving to Cali.will go by San Fransisco. Which are the must see sites and parks in California? Is there camping in these recommended parks for a 24ft Thor class B? Difficult to get a site? Where to eat GOOD sushi in San Fran? Is Los Angeles worth seeing with all the traffic? Should I just forget LA? I know there is Sequoia Park, any others?
I think you should visit the first California Tourist Info place you see when you enter the state. You will find most of the answers to your questions there.
California is a very big state with hundreds of "must sees".
For sushi in San Francisco, try the Farmer's Market down on the bay.

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
Death Valley, Mt Whitney, redwoods of in the Sierras or coast range, sandy beach at Pismo Beach, rocky coastline north of San Fran, wine country of Napa Valley (Wine Train), you may have heard about Yosemite, etc etc
Just painting some very broad strokes, you could do a coast drive from San Diego up to Oregon -- though most would start the drive somewhere above the Los Angeles area. Or you could spend a lot of time bumming around the Sierra Nevada (mountains). Along the foothills to the west there is a pretty nice drive along highway 49 through all the old 1849ers gold towns. On the east side of the Sierra Nevada you have a great drive between mountain ranges along route 395 (with Death Valley a nearby side trip during Fall through Spring.) The northwest corner is heavily forested and virtually empty of people. The southeast corner just across the Colorado River from Yuma offers desert sand dunes of epic proportions running for miles. And with some winter weather that many in this country must lay awake nights dreaming about sometimes.
This completely skips all the places to check out along these routes. Interstate 5 from San Diego up to Oregon is close to 800 miles. That's about the distance from Chicago to New Orleans. The state is maybe 225 to 250 miles wide. There are a whole lot of things to do in that space.
And a lot of beautiful country along the way even if you didn't stop to visit any attraction at all. Take off a year sometime and come on out.

X2 and I would also include Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Jalama State Beach. You can camp at Lake Cachuma.
