I'm wanting to replace all my 50mm Never Lube bearings. They are on a 2005 Holiday Rambler. All the bearings are still OK, but would like to replace all four just because of age.
I have been unable to find a supplier other than Timken, and the 50mm bearings are made at their plant in China. I know there has been a quality control problem at this plant. It may be fixed by now, but would prefer to buy these bearings from a manufacturer that has a better record than the Timken(China) plant. So far I've had no luck finding another manufacturer.
The bearing are Timken JXC25469CD. If anyone has any info on this issue I sure would like to hear from you. These bearings are used now on many 5th wheels, so this is an issue that we will be faced with.

The Dexter Nev-R-Lube bearings are rated for 100,000 miles or 10 years. Sounds like yours are not ready for replacement.

Thanks JR, but Dexter axle uses the Timken(China) plant for their 50mm Never Lube bearings. I've called them and they verified that was the source of this particular bearing.
I need a different manufacturer, if one exists. I've also called several of Dexter's regional axle plants across the country, same China source. These bearings from China seem to be having a quality control or quality issue, maybe both. At least this is what I have read on some forums. The bearings(original with the 5th wheel) are manufacured in France.
I'm looking for a different bearing manufacturer or at leasta different country of manufacture.

I have Never Lube on my Mobile Suite. The big problem is that they were not being torqued properly at the factory during assembly. I know this because I had one come apart on me in the middle of nowhere California. Make sure you torque to factory recommended specs when you replace them.

I purchased a complete new hub from Lippert to carry in case of a bearing failure.

I just carry a spare bearing with me.It's easier to find a shop to install one than to get one delivered out on the road.Or do as Sealyn does, carry a complete hub assembly.
I check the temp on each wheel at every stop,if one is going bad I have a good chance of knowing about befor it causes a BIG headache

I am a tire & wheel toucher. Not every stop but if doing a long day trip each wheel will get a little feel a couple times during the day.
I must have about 50,000 miles on mine. Carrying a spare bearing sounds like a good idea.
