I have a T.V. cable plugged into itself? I'm sure there is a reason, but I've no idea. I didnt have this on my last couple TT's.

Is your TT wired for satellite? If so it is probably a jumper from the satellite in connection to the bedroom connection.

I have 2 plates like yours in the ceiling over the tv shelf in the dinette area. There are also 2 plates similar in the bedroom. For the bed room plates, one has a 12V plug and a single cable tv / antenna outlet with no power booster. The other has one connection which is for satellite. I can run satellite 3 different ways to the bedroom.

1. Use the jumper like your picture shows and connect the satellite receiver in the bedroom. That means no satellite in the living area.

2. Connect satellite cable input from the plate above the dinette to the sat receiver then connect the receiver output back to the same plate to send satellite signal to the bedroom. Use RCA cable, component video cable or HDMI cable from the satellite receiver to the dinette tv. You will need an A/B switch for the cable and satellite to the tv coax input. You will have satellite tv in both areas, but the receiver is in the living area. I can reflect the remote signal off the wall next to the bedroom doorway to work the sat receiver.

3. This is the one I use. It is similar to no. 2 above, but I used HDMI connections btwn the tv and sat receiver in the dinette area and stapled a 20 foot RCA cable to the ceiling going from the sat receiver to the bedroom tv. That way I did not have to use an A/B switch for the satellite / cable coax connection.

Usually when the OEM does that, it is a jumper between the OUTSIDE Cable Input and the cable connection to the booster right below that plate. On your Antenna booster, you have 3 coaxes on the back side
Cable IN
Roof Antenna IN
2nd TV out (usually the bedroom coax feed)
So, what they do is they jump the Cable right above so you can then use the outside Cable input for a Sat tripod dish without removing the Booster from the wall and disconnecting to Cable in and then running it to your Sat receiver. What makes this NICE is, you figure out which is coming FROM the outside Cable connection (probably the top coax) and you run it to the Sat reciever SAT IN. You then run the SAT receiver OUT TO TV to the bottom coax and when you turn the Booster OFF, BOTH TV's will receive the Sat channel. Doug

If not in use I would tie those in the wall and use a blank cover.

New question....OP picture...bottom one showing 12v plug & cable connector. My bedroom TV (110v & 12vdc) has this setup in the cabinet, but there is NO 12v at the plug. Is there a switch up front where everything else is ??

Maybe a fuse is blown somewhere???
