We are staying at the same CG at least 5 times this season. It's right on the beach. The downside is that there are no hookups. They do have a dump station and they do have a few water spigots scattered around the park though.

Sure, we can fill up our fresh tank before leaving home but what about when we get there? I'm sure we'll be having to fill up again in a day or two.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? One of the sites is about 160' from the spigot and it's across a CG road so it's not like I want to be running a hose that far. I think we only have 50' of hose anyway.

I use one of these. It works great, no pump required.

I have 6 of those 50' roll flat hoses to fill my tank from a distance.

Fleetfarm sells an 8 gallon fresh-water container with a handle and wheels. Just like the luggage totes people use for traveling by air.

I have used a 3 gallon water container for years. A few more trips to faucets on camping loops but good exercise. I transfer water to my holding tank. 3 gal. container works good for that.

The lazy just stop by the spigot and fill the fresh-water tank. Most dump stations have a freshwater spigot a little ways from the tank dump.

If you want to piss off a ranger and get a early exit from the park just be dumb enough to treat a public faucet as your very own. I have seen it happen.

If I use a faucet to fill up a tank, I always connect up a high flow "Y" splitter. This way, if someone else needs to fill up a water container, they can without having to disconnect my FW hose.

Don't worry about running a long hose to refill. I did that for years on a state campground. Just hookup, fill and unhook so the next person can fillup. If someone runs their car over your hose it will do no damage. If you are worried about the hose, use a cheap hose over the road section. Hoses are cheap and easy to use vs other methods of moving water.

OK I'll ask if you are using that much water where is it going. Shurley you will also need to dump then. Fill up on the way. No?

We have a tote to bring the waste to the dump station.

Some water spigots have no threads on which to attach a hose, they are made that way on purpose to prevent hoses being attached and possible backflow from the unit into the CG's water system. Think you're best in having a full tank when you enter the CG and then use a tote or several 3-5 gallon containers that you can take to the spigot and fill. Walmart has several water containers that will do you the job.

No point in filling fresh water tank again if holding tanks are full. Our family of six can go four days max on our 30 gallon fresh water tank. We use campground toilot & showers during the day and only use water for dish's and night toilot use. You can do this. Worst case you move to dump then come back. Have fun
