Yesterday I made a bonehead move and did not securely lock my outdoor kitchen door on our 2012 Komfort 3530. While passing through a toll booth it decided to open up and remove itself from my trailer destroying itself in the process. Luckily it did no real damage to the trailer itself. I sent an email to Komfort (Thor, Dutchmen) and explained what I had done and that I took responsibility for it. They responded today that they would send me out a complete door assembly at no cost and thanked me for my business. I wanted to let you guys know just how much over and above Komfort went for me and I wanted to publicly thank them here for helping me out like they did. Thanks guys!

Glad it worked out for you the way it did. That speaks volumes for the manufacturer.

That is good news to hear when a company goes above and beyond for it's customers.

I'm still dissapointed with all the poor craftmanship problems I've had. I'll admit that Komfort did everything they could to make the situation at hand right. They clearly took care of the battery shorting electrical disaster that occured while driving along with all the many - many poor workmanship issues. They paid for our meals and hotel for two days while the rig was in the factory getting the extensive and many repairs. They were lucky I was covered with AAA plus RV for the TT towing to the factory or that would have cost them $400 +.

That is a good serice story. Glad for you. We wanted to buy a Komfort and when I called to arrange a factory tour in Portland, OR, they said no... I bought a Bog Horn after touring their plant in Indiana. Four other manufacturers gladly arranged tours as well... What is it Komfort did not want me to see?

We have 9 nights and about 2000 miles towed so far on our new Komfort. While it has not been perfect the issues have been minor and easily fixed. The biggest issue so far has had nothing to do with Komfort but was a Lippert bike rack issue. The Komfort related issues have been a squeak in a floor and mislabeled dump valves. So ill keep my fingers crossed and hope that there are no bigger issues but at this point I feel confident that Komfort is there with support if we do.

I think you will find that your approach is what worked the best. Positive results usually start with a positive approach.
