did you settle on a 'good but not exactly' what you wanted camper because of wonderful sale/price, etc. or did you hold out for that elusive model/floorplan you loved but could not find?
local rv dealer having a great sale this weekend. model 'close' to what I am looking for is there and a great price. BUT it is not exactly what I want and the upholstery/leather couch etc. is not exactly to my taste, BUT I could live with it, but do I want too?
Just curious if the camper you have now is exactly the one you were hoping to buy from the start?

How bad do you want to travel/camp?
If the price is right I'll buy not quite what I want and trade for what I want later.

I was actually willing to settle for less than what I bought. My wife talked me into a larger model. I have no regrets. I think I would have been fine with my original choice but she always has the trump card

I took what I got a deal on. Loved the floorplan, but not crazy about the upholstery design. No regrets here after 2 years.

If you hold out and buy the one you think you want, once you own it for awhile you will figure out all the little things you would change and fix any. But fabric and seating are very important things. If you think the one you saw is cheaper because the fabric and seating are not quite right, it might be hard to sell it later because of that.

Took the deal on the first one. Found what we wanted on the second. We had one when we were looking for the right one so we were in no hurry.

I wouldn't advise "settling" for anything less than what you really want but I believe the floor plan is the WRONG issue to make a make or break issue. You can learn to love a lot of quite similar floor plans but an RV that bleeds you dry on repairs and lots of aggravation is pretty hard to get along with

Brutal here. Years of research. A few big RV shows. Narrowed it down to very specific needs like water capacity & quality. Went serious shopping with less than 6 models on the possibilty list. No time pressure so we waited till the model & deal came to us.
5 years & over 80,000 miles later, no regrets & nothing seen that we would rather have. Bought the right one first time.

We "held out" for what we thought was the PERFECT Rv....4 times....
And then, of course, a couple of those times required a different (bigger and more expensive) tow vehicle...
All Rv's are a compromise.
Get close and go camping.
