1) NO ONE is going to see to it that all the maintenance, sealing the roof, keeping leaks to a minimum and fixing stuff right..except me!

2) If I don't do #1, I really can't blame anyone but me!

3) Joining RV.Net forum and participating is the #1 way that I can learn how to do #1! And thus my RVing experience will be easier and more fun! If not..as they say...misery loves company!

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

That folks will not go camping with you because they don't have a TT.

Really pay attention in your walk through...you don't know anything! Then you wouldn't spend half a day when boondocking trying to get you ondoard generator to work again when there is plenty of propane in the tanks....oh, it runs on gas...duh! No, I haven't lived it down and it gets brought up fairly often, oh well if you can't laugh at yourself what kind of live will you have.

Standing at the rear corner of the site with the flashlight is all dh wants me to do, I am not guiding him in and my hand signals only add confusion. Also, make sure that I can see his side mirror so that he can see me.

DON'T tell him you would like the trailer moved a foot one way or the other, it is NOT worth the argument. Saying "Thank you, dear! You've gotten really good at getting us in a site." even when you don't think so means you are going to have a better weekend.

I wish the dealer would have said...

#1 Hey you can upgrade now to a better hitch, and have a much more pleasant camping experience.

#2 Go to RV.net for awesome people willing to help.

#3 Don't load your weight in the back of the trailer.

#4 I'm a terrible dealer, you will only really be back when you are in a bind.

Here's another one, you don't have to drive for ten hours to find a great camping spot, something I've learned more recently. It is a fun challenge to find great camping spots less then an hour from home.

When going on that occasional ten hour trip, if DH says "I think the tires will make one more trip." INSIST that he buy new ones now. This will avoid the 2 hour layover somewhere in Kentucky trying to find tires on rims and changing them in a Menards parking lot on a 96 degree day.

My brother in-law and sister in-law almost get a divorce everytime they go camping. Its very comical, then my DW tells me to go over and park their TT for them cause they are drawing a crowd.........
