I was giving the HTT a good cleaning today and when I lifted the stove top I noticed it is rusting underneath. Is there anyway to prevent this, and do you think it may be covered under warranty? I cleaned it before I put it away and that was not like that, today there was paint peeling and it was all over the stove where the wires and such are. I will try to get a photo of it tomorrow. Another thing, the stove cover is all scratched, it was scratched when we got it (hubby didn't think it was a big deal) can you order those new?

I'd not put Rustoleum on anything that has high temperatures. There are specialty high temperature paints available.

Yep, know about the paint, DH already nixed that idea. I will look in my stuff for the warranty on that stove, shouldn't be rusting out like that, especially since we don't use it much.

What model stove do you have and what type of cover does it have. I have an Atwood Vision that came with no cover but I recently found the right part number for this accessory and ordered the cover online after a bit of research. The cover was installed without a hitch, and performed well last camping trip.
As for the rust -- you have to try and determine what is causing the rust in the first place. Is there water getting in there somehow or is it just simple exposure to moisture in the air?
Either way the only way to arrest this is to get the loose paint off and remove what sounds like surface rust, then repaint it with Rustoleum. Rustoleum comes in all colours, sizes, textures, etc. and is available at Walmart, Home Depot etc. The stove top should be dismantled for a good fix-up job to be done.
Warranty might only apply if the stove (not the RV) is newer and under the time-frame of the warranty. IMO it is probably not worth the hassle and may be easier to fix yourself.
