Skidaway County or State Park. Huge sites, WE at sites with a dump station in park. Huge oaks with Spanish moss make it like a big tent all over the campground.

Are you military or retired military? Hunter AAF has a nice campground if eligible.

A friend of ours, that we were meeting, wanted to meet there...the place is clean and all but it is so tight and congested.....and while you can get out it is tight to pull on and off your site IMHO....and I am not a rookie......and this was with my other RV,not sure if I would even try with this on...2 ft longer but the slides would be the difference......I like Hardeeville-Thomas for a Savannah stop...nice long and wide sites and maybe 10 minutes off the waterfront in Savannah...Chuck

We stayed there about a year ago. Typical KOA, we would stay there again. Easy drive into Savannah.

I have overnighted here many times, but not recently. IMHO, it is a overnight campground. There are a lot of pullthroughs with a couple very long pullthroughts. I am 65 feet with tow and platform bicycle rack and do not have to disconnect in the longer pullthroughs. My experience is that they fill quickly, so I have always made a reservation.

If you have children and are looking for a destination campground to visit Savannah, it is my understanding that there are several other campgrounds in the area that might meet your needs better. If that is the case, hopefully someone that lives in the area can tell you which ones to investigate.

Right off the highway, easy in, easy out.
