Onan Microlite 4000 air filter Original Part # is (140-2852)

Trailer place told me today that Onan discontinued this filter and they do not offer an alternate. They cleaned the old filter and put it back in. What gives? Anyone else run into this problem with Onan?

I thought they would stand behind their products and continue to offer parts.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Any alternate supplier or part number?

Would appreciate any feedback on this as I would like to have a clean filter and keep the genny in good running condition for a few more years.

They did not want to go out and buy one. BS on their part.

Part # 140-2852 was used for units built prior Nov 2000. Units built prior to November of 2000 should use upgrade kit part # 140-3295. Link

I understand that the 140-3295 conversion kit costs $21.91 but future filter replacements are #140-3280 which cost $12.48.
