We stayed at a high end condo last night and got to sleep for the first time on a Sleep Number bed. I have been reading about them on new motorhomes and have been curious if they would be as satisfactory as our Memory Foam Topper. No! Not even close! We don't get the raves and publicity. I understand that a couple may not agree on firmness but it wouldn't be worth it for us to give up the comfort. JMHO, Bob

Had both. Got rid of the Sleep Number.
It is not for everybody but some people love it.

Not all Sleep number beds are created equal nor are all memory foam. We love our King Size Sleep number bed but I'm not sure if I would like it as well in a smaller size.

Our King Size Sleep Number mattress was too problematic. The motor and wands were replaced under warranty and then the wands went out again about a year later. Half the bed started losing air so we literally threw it in a dumpster in an RV park in St. Louis and bought a king size Beauty Rest pillow top.
I will never buy a bed that has gadgets, motors or anything electrical. The memory foam didn't appeal to us as I don't want to roll over and fall in a previous dip.
To each his/her own.... buy what you like.

Love the stories about quality......we've had our King Select comfort at the house for 20 years without a single issue and Im no lite-weigh. Added the RV queen when I bought the MH(10 years ago).....had to replace one chamber(90.00 bucks) because I forgot to let pressure out when going into high elevation which created a pin hole. We did add a memory foam topper on the RV sleep number....best of both World's. As stated, to each his/her own!
