I have a 2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS and I when I removed the driver's side kick panel I discovered three wires with in-line fuses, but the one was stripped bare at the end and is brown in color and was not connected to anything. Does anybody now what the brown wire is for and where it is suppose to be connected to?

Regards

You might inquire on the Yahoo Kodiak group web site.

The same wiring harness is used for differeint vehicles in the same product line. Just because a wire is not used in your vehicle doesn't mean something is wrong.

If everything works properly, then garym114 is correct. This wire could also be for an accessory that your unit does not have. Extra wiring is very common in all vehicles manufactured today.

Did you check it for voltage? Does the end look like it was attached to something and pulled loose?

It is a 2007 Chevrolet C5500 Kodiak chassis. No voltage on wire, but since it is stripped and bare at the end, it appears to have come out of one of the many crimp style connectors.

This is one of three thin wires that come down from the dash that all have in-line fuses. Might go to that switch that will connects the coaches battery to the engine in case the batteries for the engine die. I haven't tried that button yet, but would like to know it will work if I ever do need it. I can take the dash apart to see where it goes, just hoping that someone knows exactly what this wire was for so I didn't have to do that.

All you have to do to check the Aux Start is turn on the key and push the button, you should here a relay click. I have the same wire in our 35GS that is not connected either.

If you go to JAYCO's web site and the contact page with your units serial number (not vin #) they can tell you also.
