Purchasing is not a problem, but be careful, your LOCAL dealer may not perform any warranty work on a unit bought from a wholesaler.
With a little homework, you can get a good deal locally and support the LOCAL business that is there for you when you need them.

The wholesaler has no interest in building a relationship with you, it's just grab our cash and move on.

They delivered my Rockwood (to Elkhart where I picked it up) on time and at the agreed on price. The trailer has been close to perfect from day one. That's about all you can ask of any dealer. If I had to come up with a complaint against them it would be a desire for s little more contact from them while waiting for the trailer to be built, keeping me advised on progress but that's pretty minor since they WERE right on time with it.

We purchased our first 5th wheel from RV Direct about 7 years ago and had it delivered to our hometown with no problems. Picked up our new one on Wed here in Elkhart. We ordered this one through RVCapitalWholesalers. Both purchases went perfectly with the RV delivered exactly as we ordered. We are currently in Elkhart now and just took the factory tour yesterday. We feel this is the only way to buy. You can order exactly what you want and can even add options not listed but ones you have seen on other units.

What happens when the local dealer goes belly up? Who then services your TT??

I bought from RV Direct, they are only 100 miles from me, and saved thousands over the best price from other local dealers.

I had a brake issue and did not go back to the dealership I bought from. I found a mobile RV repair shop to handle my warranty work.

I would buy from them again.

We bought our 2010 Jayco Jay flight 19BH from RV direct and picked it up at Des Moine Iowa facility. The sales person made whole purchase experience easy and they delivered when they said they would. It took 6 weeks for Jayco to build the trailer to our specs and deliver it to Des Moine for our pickup. Again, at the delivery and inspection, the people at RV direct were very friendly and helpful. There was no rush during inspection and they explained how to use all features and answered all my questions. They also provided all the documentation and even a temporary tag for travel. In all we saved about $5000 buying through them vs. buying locally. The local dealer just could not come close to RV direct's price. Luckily, so far I have not needed to have any warranty work done. I would definitely buy from them again in the future.

We purchased our '11 Cardinal 5th wheel from RVDirect and had a great experience. Easy to deal with, unit delivered on-time, no issues and we saved thousands of $dollars. Local dealer wouldn't come close to the price, even though we had purchased our previous unit from them. We were concerned about warranty issues after the local dealer gave us the scare tactic of no service. We had several small warranty issues and took it in to another local rv dealer, who doesn't even sell Forest River products, and they performed all the work with no charge working with Forest River. I would purchase from them again.
