Our Rockwood 2607 has the U-shape dinette and we love it. It was one of the reasons we went with this layout (the other being the huge bathroom). The downside is that when Forest River changed from the standard 4-person table to the U-shaped one it meant the loss of a nice size food cabinet.

It should be noted that dinettes (U and standard) are the same size. Have the whole family sit down at each one when shopping to make sure.

We have a U-shaped dinette in our Salem 26TBUD. We love it. We can get all 4 of our boys (ages 9 and under) plus my husband and I in it at once. My husband is 6'2", but we're not really big otherwise.

My first 2 TT's had the standard dinette. When we ordered the new TT we got the U shaped dinette. With a family of 6 , sometimes 7, we are very happy we ordered it.

I don't think that all dinettes are the same size.. The dinette in our trialer fits 4 adults quite well. I am 6'3" and 330lbs, I fit great with 3 other people. but I hardly fit at all in the one in my parents 48' 5'er...

We also have a large U dinette and love it, and have a couch. My dh also changed the table so instead of the legs, it has a post. Much more stable with the kids scooching around the table. We also convert it into a bed when we watch movies on rainy days or at night. It will fit an adult and the 2 kids comfortably.

The newer U-shape in my new Forest River is deeper than a standard booth in older trailers. I'd guess 6-12". The width (front to back of the trailer) seems more too.
