Once the fuse blows the circuit is dead meaning no power past the fuse to the inverter. You should be fine.

DH did it, too, in our last unit. It only took a new 20amp fuse to the converter and we were back in business.

Glad I read this thread. Maybe I won't make the same mistake, but who knows. I totally remove my battery as well to keep it charged in the garage and also to reduce the chance of theft since my trailer is in storage.

Did it on our 2006 Gulfstream. Replaced the fuses and things went well after that.

Without reading through all of the posts, we did this, blew 3 fuses (the 2 40 amp fuses and the one in the radio). Replaced the fuses and all was fine. We were lucky since we drove a 3 hr drive with it like this. (And yes I know that means other things like brakes probably didn't function right so we were very very lucky!!!!)

Out buying fuses now. Will post back results.

Btw... Thanks for all the replies. I feel somewhat better knowing this is more common mistake than I originally thought.

Are the fuses just standard blade fuses? I found 40 amp fuses at the auto parts store. I am trying to avoid a trip to the tv dealer.

Answered my own question... Everything is working. Well, except the radio. I do not have the right size fuse yet. Sanitizing the water system now. Thanks again for all the support
