We have two cats and thinking about going full time. My husband wants to check out back east for a few years and just fly west coast once or twice a year to visit the grown kids.

We were thinking we could find place to leave motorhome in secure area but what about the cats?

Would you just trust reviews for places in what ever area you are in?

We have gone to CA and left out dog at a kennel for a week. Worked out OK. They usually want a health certificate.

We leave our dog for up to two weeks at a time. However, we always check out the place before doing so. I suggest a visit and questions may relieve some of your concerns. We have been lucky (???) and have never had a major issue.

I would only have put our cats in a cats only kennel but luckily we never had to do that. We were always able to make new friends who were able to care for our cats the couple times we had to leave them.

I wouldn't have been able to leave the cats in a room with a bunch of barking dogs or even in the next room. I don't think the cats would have made it to 18 & 20 if I had.

I would look into a boarding facility when you can't take the cats with you. One of those places with small rooms rather than cages. A little more expensive but much better for the cats.
