I have a 2002 endeavor with the all in one side topper and window awning, the straps gets flanted out to the extent I cannot get my hook into the strap, does anyone have this problem, if so how did you correct the problem. Thanks Roy

Cut a small piece of rubber and put it inside the loop. The rubber trying to go flat again opens the loop

Grind the awning rod on two sides & make it look like a flat blade screwdriver & it will help your insertion into the strap.

We just put a loop of thick string into the existing strap. It hangs down a bit and that makes it easier to find and much easier to snag with the hook.

If it does not roll up into the awning I would try inserting a short piece of maybe 1/2 or 3/4" pvc into the loop and leaving it to stabalize the loop and maybe it will stay open for future use. Wont hurt to try. Larry

Since it is a all in one the strap rolls up in the awning that is what flatening it out, I guess I will grind the rod like was posted. Thanks overyone. Roy
