I know it's a v6 and all, but please go faster than 45 when you're in the left lane.

I just had Eugene (think "Jeep Jeep!") repainted Nassau Cream, and a new black convertible top installed. It's a four-cyclinder, 1950 Willys Jeepster, one of only 4066 made. Next winter, it's going south with me, and my Jeepster Jaunts will be only on roads where the left-hand lane contains opposing traffic!

It's a Jeep. Take it on roads where there is only one lane and no traffic.

I don't think early Jeepsters are even 4WD...

There is nothing like a Mustang. I remember when we got ours. We were looking at a Taurus and was going to take it for a test drive when I told the salesman get that Mustang ready. My husband just shook his head and guess what we bought, the Mustang. There're fun to drive. Ours is older so every once in a while we rent a new mustang just for the heck of it. Congrats on the new car. Wise choice.

DH and I traded our former car in January for a 2010 V8 Mustang GT (like new--only had 7,000 miles on it). It is red with a red leather interior. It is my daily driver and I LOVE it. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy my Mustang. I am 50 years old and it might be a second childhood, but I don't care!

Have fun with the little V6. I thought I read where it is rated at 300HP and 30MPG highway. If I remember through the fog of time the original '65 High Perfomance 289 V8 was rated at 271HP and anything over 12MPG was considered good. Your base Mustang may not have the ego envolvement of the first ones but it does everything better, goes, stops, turns, doesn't need the solid lifters adjusted frequently or points, plugs and condencer changed at short intervals. I still love that white '65 HiPo fastback that went away long ago.
