My '07 232 has the same sticker, nothing new for Jayco. Also states not to use wdh heavier than 1000lbs. My dealer didn't even want to sell me 1000lb bars, even though my tongue has been weighed at over 800 lbs.

A call to the TT manufacturer would clear up any guess work on our part. I've seen plenty of similar-sized rigs being pulled by similar-sized tow vehicles, but I never thought it was dangerous. Enjoy your Jayco!!!

If your tow rating were only one ton I could see why they might want to warn against towing a two ton trailer but the "one ton or MORE" is pretty hard to understand.

But what's a forum without wild speculation?

Yesterday I was very surprised at what I read on a sticker on the tonque of my Jayco X23J. This sticker stated that towing this trailer with a tow vehicle rated at one ton or more could result in injury or death.

I have never heard of such a thing. Does anyone know the logic behind this statement?

Where exactly on the tongue is this sticker at? Because.....well....just look.

Yep - a brand new X23J being towed by a GMC3500HD Duramax. In the 7 months I've had the trailer, I've towed it easily 4000 miles so far. I've been over my own trailer pretty well and don't recall seeing that sticker on mine....that's why I ask.

I am thinking the stiff suspension could damage the frame.

The sticker is on the right (curb) side of the tongue. Using your picture for reference, it would be on the rear portion of the tongue near the coach body. I'll try to take a photo of it tomorrow.

I have the same sticker on my Lance. It is on the left frame rail, just behind the tongue.
