Went to 3 diff FJ/Pilots and finally got 1 store to take card. First 2 stores didn't know what it was and would do nothing. Didn't work at pumps anywhere. At 3rd store manager called and got it to work at least. I did not get my 8 cent discount. At that point i was glad i got any fuel. I am not impressed, to bad, I loved my old card and used it for many years. Wish I still had it.

It has to be the number one complaint receiver on here.

except the Good Sam Pilot/FJ RV Plus Card is *not* a credit card. It's a charge card and only works at Pilot and FJ locations and then only for fuel, LP and dumps. $0.04 per gallon discount on gas and a similar amount on diesel and LP. no need to use a credit card at the pump...just swipe the RV Plus card, enter your pin and pump away. no limits on gas/diesel and i get a statement via e-mail at the end of the month. i can write a check or have the amount debited from my bank account. i've used the card about a dozen times between arizona and tennessee with zero problems. at one location in oklahoma all of the card readers were out of service but the card worked like it should at the cashier's desk.

don't belong to Good Sam? the Pilot/FJ Frequent Fueler card provides a smaller discount but like any other shopper card it must be used with your credit card.

Your account is right on. I think many people tend to confuse the card issued this March with the older card. We have used the RV Plus card many times since March and have found it a great and quick method. It also allows me to track all fuel/price/gallons used on one simple monthly statement. No longer need to whip out my Excel program after each fill up... We travel between East/West coast each year... this is very easy. jmo

Just got back from our trip to Alabama and used the card 4 times, each time it worked like advertised right from the pump.

I have an updated P/FJ card , but only keep it as backup .

There are too many fuel stops with much lower prices and cleaner environments .

We used the "RV Plus" card recently in Ripon. Got propane first, the cashier got us the discount but could not charge the card for the propane. She tried several times. Then I went back out to the pump for gas and swiped the card, no problem.
Finished fueling, got my receipt from the pump and went back inside to tell the cashier that the gas pump was fine but apparently there is a glitch in the system for the propane purchase..
However, still got the propane discount and paid for the purchase seperately.

All of you who have had such good luck with your Good Sam/RV Plus card. Did you fuel up at the RV pumps or the truck diesel pumps? I was given the impression that the card will not always work at the truck pumps if one is getting diesel. For me personally this is a major disadvantage. I much prefer to fill up at the truck pumps - MUCH quicker!

My RV has a 14 gallon propane tank and a 80 gallon gasoline tank. When I fill with propane it is about 10 gallon and gasoline is about 50-60 gal.

10 gal X $0.10= $1.00 discount
60 gal X $0.02= $1.20 discount
I will use the reward card if it is convenient but looking at the big picture it is not a huge savings.

I think part of the confusion is the different cards available. The Frequent Fueler card is now the My Rewards card (if you have a Frequent Fueler card, it still works. See below). These cards will allow you to start the truck island pumps, but you need to go inside and pay with either a credit card or cash.

The RV Plus Card will allow you to start and pay for fuel at the truck pumps. I have used both cards on my current trip. I used the RV Plus at the truck pumps at a Pilot station in Boron, CA, and it worked as advertised. I used the Frequent Fueler card at the RV Pumps at Frazier Park, CA, so I could pay with my PenFed credit card and get a 5% rebate from PenFed. I also received the applicable discounts.
