As many times as I've been to FW, I've never seen a propane refill area. With that said, does anyone know where the nearest place is to refill propane tanks? Thanks, no substitute for experience..

This is from another site

.PROPANE TANK GONE EMPTY?

Buying propane at Fort Wilderness is easy, and compared to many other places, it is very reasonable. We’ve needed a tank filled on two occasions. Here’s how to do it: In the morning, remove your tank and take it to the Meadows Trading Post, which is fairly well centrally located. There are parking spaces for golf carts and motor vehicles. As you are looking at the trading post, there is a work area attached at the far right. If someone is there, you can just drop off your tank, get a receipt, and pick it up later – around 5pm for instance. If no one is there, just go inside the store (double doors on the porch) and a Castmember will help you. The cost for filling a 30 lb tank was around $20 – prices might have changed since then.

I never get lost! Someone always tells me where to go!

Be sure to write your name on tank with sharpie if you want the tank you took back. The all seem to look alike.

I think the Camping World 5175 West Highway 192,Kissimmee, FL 34746, Phone: 888-253-3918, has propane. I would call ahead to make sure. It's not that far from Disney.

You can google their location and bonus is that there is a Krispy Kreme doughnuts shop just a few blocks west of them on the opposite side of the road.

Helperzack is correct. There is a service that sells LP gas in the front parking lot (southwest corner) of Camping World on Hwy 192 just west of Hwy 535. It is easy to get at with any size motorhome.

I am at FW now. I just left the Meadows Trading Post where I spoke to a cast member. If you drop your tank (s) of there by noon, they are picked up and taken to another location where they are refilled and returned by 2:30.

Like Zach mentioned, I used Camping World on our last trip, a month or so back. Not far, at all from WDW and I needed to make a grocery run anyway. Will have to give the one, at the Meadows Trading Post, a try next time.

The filling point at Camping World is around on the side and had plenty of room for a motorhome or trailer to pull up to fill. It was staffed with a person at the propane facility. Didn't have to go in the store.

As you face the entrance to the Camping World, the propane facility is to the left and around the building. Drive in front of the service bays to get to it.
