We've often shopped at the Myrtle Beach and Spartanburg locations and have been very pleased with CW, until today.
At the new Asheville, NC location however (formerly Todd's RV and Marine -- a business we used to feel welcome at), I was made to feel like a nuisance. In fact, before our visit to the new CW location we detected an attitude of arrogance from the CW employees at the early spring RV show near GVL airport.
This morning I was not treated warmly, I was passed from one Service Writer to another until a gentleman named Gary (the only bright spot of our day at CW) took care of us, and barely got eye contact from the other employees.
Today when went to pick up our rig, we had some time to look at campers. We have a good idea of what we want, and our camper is currently for sale. My wife and I looked at brochures for quite some time, when 3 employees walked by us at different times without asking if we have been helped. We then asked the receptionist who was sitting just 10 feet away from us if we could see some campers. She nodded at the gentleman in front of her who was on the phone, and said that he would be taking care of us. After he was off the phone, it appeared that he was more interested in yuk yukking it up with his coworkers and trying to impress the receptionist, than he was with earning a commission. We asked again, and we were ignored again. By this time I was almost fuming, so we left. As he tried to call us back inside, I did feel a sense of satisfaction as he watched us drive away in our 1-week old pickup and a 4 year-old travel trailer with a "For Sale" sign in the window.
One of the models we are considering is the Keystone Passport 2510 RB, a model that CW sells. We are within 1 and hour and 15 minutes of Crowder RV in Johnson City, Miles Motors in Asheville, Tom Johnson Camper Sales in Marion, and Bob Ledford Adventure Motor Homes in Greenville, and 2 hours from RV Outlet USA in Danville, VA.
It will be a pleasure to visit these dealerships in the near future to consider upgrading.
I am sorry to hear about your experience in Asheville. Our goal is to make you feel welcome and like an honored guest. I will be speaking to the dealership today about your experience and expect a call.
Thank you for your business and hope we get the opportunity to earn it back.
Give a look to Bumgarner's Camping, in Hudson NC as well, Not that far from Marion. Great people. Stand behind what they sell.
They will let you walk the lot, and browse at your leisure, and will be more than happy to talk with you, and help you find what you want, If you didn't see it on the lot.
