A couple more hours and we're outa here! Normally by this time, we've had several weekends under our belt. This has been a different year with the health issues DS#1 has had + the fact that he has to have injections daily - for a while it was twice daily. We're seeing the light at the end. But the END is not until August....maybe. We thought a couple of weeks ago we might get out and that DS, who hates camping unless it involves spring training in FL, would come with us. The Weather Channel changed our minds and they were right this time. But....still no line forming in front of our house for volunteers to give the injections. Enter our wonderful neighbor who has never given injections of any kind to any one.......he apparently knew we were losing our last functional brain cells and volunteered to learn and take over for the weekend. Gotta love a neighbor like that! He did the first one and didn't throw up or pass out....perfect! He's coming this morning for a refresher course and then we're gone. Woo-hoo!!! I think DS is probably just as happy to see us go camping as we are. He's gotta be tired of us after months of this. So this afternoon we'll pull into our favorite campground and into a beautiful site. Dinner is my "famous" Boat Shrimp and Caesar Salad, and maybe a glass or two. Campfire tonight. Ahhhhh! Kindles packed, excellent food packed, Jack packed, smores stuff packed. I think we're ready!!! Everyone have a fun weekend, too.

We did have a great weekend, although TWC missed by a smidge. Thursday afternoon/evening was just perfect. Campfire, my "famous" Boat Shrimp, a bit of Jack, some wine.....just wonderful. Friday, pretty much ditto. Saturday DS reported that TWC was saying heavy rains and TS. We debated head home/don't head home. Finally decided to stay put and not much to get excited about until early evening. We had one of those days when you don't do much of anything, a no shower/no make-up kind of day. Our DFs stopped by for a glass or two - like they had any doubt that there was a drop or two onboard. Rained all night Saturday, but fine with us....rinsed off the bunkends. Came home Sunday and feel very ready to head back soon. Just a nice, relaxing weekend + I whipped DH at Scrabble....always a good thing. Remaining functional brain cells seem to be regenerating. Life is good.
I am jealous, we are not camping for a couple weeks. Soccer tournaments and work, yuck! I'd rather have a smore and a drink by the campfire. Enjoy your camping.
