Angus is a different dog with his thundershirt on; I highly recommend it too. He stands and stares at it when he hears thunder in the distance.

I too had a dog that had problems with fireworks. I most certainly would not take a dog camping on that weekend. It's too hard on the dog not to mention if they bolt and run off in a strange area and maybe never found.
Fireworks may be illegal in most states but I have yet to experience a Fourth of July where they were not going off no matter what state I was in.

BTW: Stayed at a CG outside Atlanta on the 4th, heard gun shots and asked the host if I should be concerned. They said no. Apparently in Georgia they shoot off guns on the 4th.

I'm glad to hear the reports on the thundershirts success. I've been eyeing them up, but haven't had the extra $$ yet.

Rescue Remedy is a great product. I have used it successfully for seizure dogs, separation anxiety, thunderstorms, etc. Great stuff...

Last weekend we didn't have fireworks, we had the sound from a 12 pound canon from a park several miles away

and the sound of F15 fighters on intercept missions over Camp David.

I figure things will be loud here this September during the 150th anniversary events.

I don't think that it can be a big issue because of the states are not allowed for fireworks except Chistmas-New Year week. Isn't it??

Cross the state line over into Indiana. You may change your position.
