We are having a rash of RV thefts around here as well. Folks are telling us the POT HEADS are after the batteries and propane tanks mostly...

I feel blessed to be able to park both of my trailers here at CAMP BACKYARD. At least when the outside lights come on late at night I might get a good shot at them with my John Wayne scattergun.

Folks are wrong. It's meth chemists who need that stuff. Pot heads are at the 7-11 buying candy bars and Cheetos.

Here in Florida, we add a sticker to the plate each year so my plate was not damaged. I was surprised that they had peeled off the current year sticker. When I talked to the tag office I was advised that there will be no cost to replace the sticker, as I had filed a police report. I just feel violated. It seems to reflect the hard economic times in the area. I think I will remove the tage next time along with the spare tire. The compartment where the propane tanks are located is not lockable. I guess locks only stop honest people.

I too had my new TC broken into after using it just once! They took nothing!! Go figure.

I had to repair the door myself. Otherwise a $500 bill just to replace the door and frame. But the owners of the storage say they have a good idea who did and how. From now on the people attending auctions MUST stay with the owners and there is always a person at the rear of the group to be sure they do. Their problems have stopped since then.

When you apply the plate sticker try to clean off several of the old years off you can. Then after you put the new sticker on take a razor blade and cut crisscross lines in the new sticker. Take your time & make clean cuts 1/16 to 1/8 inch apart. Anyone trying to steal the dang thing will give up when they realize its coming off in pieces. I do it to all plate stickers...
Blessings,
