In all of my multiple dealings with Coach Net, they have always asked if I needed a tow or a service call (other than tire issues). They pointed out to me the time that I asked for a service call that if it turned out that I needed a tow, it would be my nickle.

This thread points out the need for everyone to fully define what they want when they call either CN or GS. In CN's contract it is to tow to the nearest "qualified" repair location OR provide a service call for up to four hours of labor. There is no guarantee that a service person will solve your problem. You can select to be towed regardless of the reccomendation if you so elect.

I have been double towed to get me to a qualified repair loction at no cost. I have also elected to get towed to a facility further away than the nearest qualified location for personal reasons and paid the tow company the additional cost for the added miles.

I am fully satisfied with Coach Net.

I have learned a lot from all of the responses in this thread. In my years of RV'ing I've had experiences with both Good Sam and Coach-Net. I never needed a tow, but each service met the problems I presented with speed and quality assistance. I've just taken it for granted that things would get done in a satisfactory manner. Now I know to be more careful and more direct if I ever need the help that I'm expecting. I'm currently with Coach-Net and see that I must be ready for some problems. Obviously, they can't control who they make contracts with when it comes to sending out the people we expect to help us. The same for Good Sam. I'm sure both organizations want to do the right thing for their clients, but it always doesn't happen. I sure want to know how the originator of this problem makes out.

Because of the type of replies she received, I doubt we'll hear back from her.

Well...I stand corrected! Linda replied just as I sent my reply. Glad to have you back Linda!!

Coach Net is refunding the amount we had to pay for the tow. They also promised that both the dispatcher and the company they sent would receive "education" and apologized for their error.

Thank you for the update Linda. I think they handled it in a way that makes the customer happy and hopefully will keep it from happening again.

Just a side note, this was taken from another forum yesterday and shows the kind of company Coach net strives to be. Dave was very pleased with his experience through Coach Net.
About 6 weeks ago 2 weeks after we got back from FL we where driving our toad on a Freeway on our way to an appointment
driving 65 and out of the clear blue we hit black ice. and totaled our toad. After the car quit spinning I can to rest on the shoulder of the road with the front of the car protruding into the right lane. OnStar called the Police and they were there in a matter of minutes. He had a Flat Bead truck on the way. They were there in about a minute. I did not have time to call Coach Net and the Police were anxious to get me and my car off the road because of the hazard and other cars that need attention there also, so I gave permission
to the tow company to pick up the car and take it to the local dealer.

Coach Net as others clearly spell out you must call them and use one of their providers. When I got home I called Coach Net and explained the information. She told me I could write a letter to their review board. I did and sent in a copy of the bill. I ask for any help they might offer. Yesterday I got check in he mail from them.them for the full amount. Thought that was great. I hope I never need them again but it is nice to know you can count on them.

Congratulations Linda Z. Maybe some other ERS companies will take notice and look into forming a review board to resolve customer complaints.

Again, congratulations.
