Bigfoot made two with east west island beds. 27DSL (has 2 slides) and 29G (no slides, massive storage). My brother has a 29G.

I've seen the E-W queen in a corner without a slide, or walkaround with either the bed or the wardrobe in a slide. Whether this ends up around 29-30 overall or 25-27 overall depends on what is up front and whether there is a slide up front. At the shorter length you can get dinette or sofa (often a U-dinette), at the longer length you can get both with or without a slide up front.

I've not seen an E-W free-standing queen without something in a slide even in A's in the 34-38 foot range. With framing around the bed you need 80-82 inches for the width of the bed, you have 96 to 98 inches at most to fit the bed, the walkaround space, and whatever you want to place that the foot of the bed. This lack of space is why long bed sizes end up oriented north south or in a slideout.

Mine is a 1999 Gulfstream, 28' with the rear quene bed dead center. No slides. and it faces, headboard on back wall and footboard faces towards the front of the moho. (it doesnt really have a head or foot board) With nice cabinets on either side. Its snug, but you can walk around both sides and room to get dressed on either side. Very nice floor plan and design. We like it a lot.

That's a short queen, cutting half a foot off the bed does make it work.

For you possibly. For others (like my brother and sister in law) it's just fine.
