The tire and wheel sizes the OP listed are the exact sizes on my GMC 2500....so, yes, they will work fine from the tire mounting to the wheel.

Thanks again! I came across a deal on some white steel trailer wheels for 150$ practically brand new. I've had the new tires on standby till I got rims. They are 3100lb rated at 90 psi.

but one caveat - don't wheels have a max working pressure stamped on (or inside) them somewhere?

Yes SnowKing, 90psi is a pressure rating, but for the tire not the rim,,, I do believe the rims wil only be rated for 80 psi.OP says in 3rd post he has had tires on standby until he found rims, tires are 3100lbs @90 psi,

Well I believe he is referring to the wheels, as I have never heard of a tire rated at 3100 at 90!!!!

Title includes 245/75R16 which is a standard LT tire size rated to 3042 at 80 for a LRE.
